Diallo scores 22 points, Washington beats USC 83-79 for OT win in 2nd round of Big Ten Tournament

Zoom Diallo - Sinks game-winner, gets dub-dub Diallo supplied 22 points (7-20 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, 11 assists and one steal in 43 minutes during Wednesday's 83-79 OT victory over USC.
Impact Diallo scored a layup with 2:18 remaining in overtime to give the Huskies a lead they would not relent. He was whistled for his fourth foul with 13 minutes remaining in the second half, but was able to stay away from whistles for the rest of the game. The 6-4 sophomore had his third double-double of the season. The Huskies move on to play Wisconsin on Friday in the third round of the Big Ten Tournament. Diallo had 21 points and four assists in the loss to the Badgers on Feb. 28.

Quimari Peterson - Sinks five 3-pointers Peterson ended Wednesday's 83-79 OT victory over USC with 15 points (5-11 FG, 5-10 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and a season-high four steals across 43 minutes.
Impact Peterson has started the last three games and hit 11 3-pointers on his way to 13.0 points. The 6-1 Eastern Tennessee transfer has hit just 33.9 percent of his 3-pointers on the season, but is providing some perimeter firepower at the end of the season. The Huskies will play Wisconsin in the third round of the Big Ten Tournament on Friday. Peterson had five points and three rebounds in the loss to the Badgers on Feb. 28.

Hannes Steinbach - Gets 20th double-double Steinbach ended with 26 points (9-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 13 rebounds and two steals in 30 minutes during Saturday's 85-79 loss to Oregon.
Impact Steinbach closed the regular season with four straight double-doubles in which he scored at least 22 points. The freshman led the Big Ten with 11.6 rebounds to go along with 18.6 points on 58.6 percent from the field and 1.1 blocks. Washington is the 11-seed in the Big Ten Tournament and will take on Rutgers on Wednesday. Steinbach had 24 points and 16 rebounds in the Feb. 24 win over the Scarlet Knights.

While the senior guard's only shots from the field were three-point attempts, he still nailed three of them and finished with his third double-digit scoring performance of his last four games. He'll close out the regular season averaging 8.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

Impact Yates has seen some volatility in scoring as of late after dropping 19 points versus Rutgers on Feb. 24. Impact Steinbach is closing his impressive freshman season on an upswing. He has score at least 22 points on 72.2 percent from the field in his last three games while averaging 17.0 rebounds as the Huskies have won two of three. The 6-11 forward has 19 double-doubles on the season and will go for 20 in the regular season finale against Oregon on Saturday. Steinbach had 10 points and 13 rebounds in the Jan. 25 win over the Ducks.
