Josh Reed - Valiant effort despite loss Reed logged 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 37 minutes during Sunday's 77-75 loss to USC.
Impact Penn State dropped yet another Big Ten game Sunday afternoon, but it sure wasn't Reed's doing. He notched double-digit points for the eighth straight game on an extremely efficient 73 percent shooting from the field. After an uneven start to the season, Reed has really hit his stride since the calendar flipped to 2026, averaging 12.3 points (on 56 percent shooting) and 4.0 rebounds in that span.

Ezra Ausar - Efficient 13 vs. PSU Ausar finished with 13 points (4-6 FG, 5-6 FT), two rebounds, one assist and two steals in 28 minutes during Sunday's 77-75 victory over Penn State.
Impact This game was a little to close for comfort from USC's perspective, as it took all 40 minutes to bury the lowly Nittany Lions for a two-point win. Still, Ausar had a solid game, notching an efficient 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting. He was limited to just two rebounds, and turned the ball over four times for the second straight game as well. It certainly wasn't a flawless outing, but Ausar remains the heartbeat of this Trojans' frontcourt.

Gabe Dynes - Seven boards off the bench Dynes accumulated two points (1-2 FG, 0-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and four blocks across 15 minutes during Sunday's 77-75 victory over Penn State.
Impact Dynes now has seven rebounds off the bench for the second straight game. His minutes, and consequently his production, have fluctuated significantly this season, but the past two games he's been a force on the glass, with the aforementioned 14 total rebounds as well as seven blocks. The 7-foot-5 center is a massive presence off the bench, and if he can give USC a handful of solid minutes around the rim off the bench each game, that will be crucial in the Trojans' push for an NCAA Tournament bid.

Kam Woods - Strong outing in win Woods provided 13 points (6-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, nine assists and four steals in 36 minutes during Sunday's 77-75 victory over Penn State.
Impact Woods entered the Trojans' starting five on Jan. 9, and hasn't relinquished that spot since. While he got off to a quiet start this season, he's caught fire in his last four games, averaging 18.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.8 steals in that span while shooting 56 percent from the field. As USC pushes for a spot in the NCAA Tournament, Woods appears to be heating up at the perfect time.

Ryan Cornish - Quiet in start Cornish totaled two points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds in 18 minutes during Sunday's 77-75 win over Penn State.
Impact Cornish hadn't started for USC since Jan. 17, and he's been extremely quiet since, coming off two straight games in which he played just one minute. He got back into the starting five Sunday, and notched 18 minutes -- his most since Jan. 15 -- but was still limited to just two points and two rebounds. Aside from an outlier 18-point showing against UTSA in December, Cornish is proving to be an afterthought for the Trojans.
