Penn State visits Maryland following Coit's 30-point outing
Maryland takes on the Penn State Nittany Lions after David Coit scored 30 points in Maryland's 88-71 loss to the USC Trojans

Melih Tunca - Kept quiet in loss
Tunca totaled five points (1-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, three assists, one block and one steal across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 71-60 loss to UCLA.
Impact
Tunca's minutes haven't necessarily taken a hit since he was removed from Penn State's starting five in late December, but his production certainly has, and he was an ice cold 1-of-6 from the field as the Nittany Lions dropped yet another conference game. Tunca was a much bigger factor for Penn State earlier in the season; fantasy managers should proceed with caution at this point.

Eli Rice - Inefficient 14 in loss
Rice chipped in 14 points (5-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two steals over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 71-60 loss to UCLA.
Impact
Rice dropped 14 points in the loss to UCLA, but needed 12 shots to get there. The sophomore guard's game has improved since entering the starting five in late December, as he's averaging 12.2 points in shat span on 47.6 percent shooting from the field. Penn State has played some Big Ten teams close, but you get the sense they'll need a monster night -- from Rice or otherwise -- to notch that elusive first conference win.

Dominick Stewart - Leading scorer in loss
Stewart ended with 16 points (5-12 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 71-60 loss to UCLA.
Impact
This was only the third game this season Stewart hit double-digit points, and he needed 12 shots from the floor to do it. The guard has been okay from distance this season, but he was ice cold against the Bruins, and that was a big reason why the Nittany Lions couldn't pull this one out -- they shot just 4-of-22 (18 percent) from distance. Stewart has been back in Penn State's starting five over the last three games, but he's shooting just 25 percent from the field in that span.

Freddie Dilione V - Exits game Wednesday
Dilione (ankle) exited Wednesday's game against UCLA with an ankle injury, 247Sports.com reports.
Impact
Dilione exited Wednesday's game against the Bruins early in the first half, and he was spotted later in the contest with a large wrap around his ankle. The 6-foot-5 junior finished the contest with zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), 1 rebound and three assists across eight minutes of action.

Tibor Mirtic - Set to miss time with knee ailment
Mirtic (knee) is slated to miss "a little bit" of time with his injury, per Daniel Gallen of 247Sports.com.
Impact
Mirtic missed the Nittany Lions' loss to Purdue, his first absence of the season. It won't be his last, however, as he's expected to miss "a little bit" of time for Penn State moving forward. There's no word on a specific time-table, but it's safe to assume the freshman forward is slated to miss the next handful of games.

Freddie Dilione V - Puts up 17 without Mingo
Dilione supplied 17 points (6-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-6 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Tuesday's 74-72 loss to Michigan.
Impact
The Nittany Lions are going to have to look elsewhere for production with leading scorer Kayden Mingo set to miss multiple games with an undisclosed injury, and that answer was Dilione in Tuesday's surprisingly-close game. He made his third consecutive start in this contest, but he's been on a scoring tear since December, averaging 16.1 ppg over his last seven contests. Even with a tough matchup at Purdue set for Saturday, Dilione should still continue to see high usage for the foreseeable future.

Josh Reed - Supplies double-double off bench
Reed recorded 13 points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and two steals over 29 minutes during Tuesday's 74-72 loss to Michigan.
Impact
Reed came off the bench for the first time this season, and that move paid off for Penn State as he logged his first double-double of the year and got back in double figures scoring-wise for the first time since Dec. 2. As a starter, Reed had been averaging just 8.4 points and 3.7 rebounds -- the Nittany Lions may keep him coming off the bench after the near upset of Michigan.

Ivan Juric - Career-high 20 in near upset
Juric posted 20 points (6-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-8 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 24 minutes during Tuesday's 74-72 loss to Michigan.
Impact
Juric's 20 points were the most of his young career as the Nittany Lions came tantalizingly close to pulling off a stunning upset. The freshman center took matters into his own hands, attempting 13 shots, also a career-high. There's been some growing pains with Juric, as to be expected, but this kind of performance against what might be the best team in college basketball is extremely encouraging for the future.

Kayden Mingo - Will miss several games
Mingo (undisclosed) missed Tuesday's game against Michigan and is expected to be out "for a little bit," head coach Mike Rhoades told Daniel Gallen of 247Sports.com.
Impact
There aren't many details on the absence of Mingo, but losing the star floor general for any amount of time represents a huge blow for Penn State. He's averaging 14.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game this season, and with him out, expect Freddie Dilione and Melih Tunca to see more time in the backcourt.

Tibor Mirtic - Heads to locker room
Mirtic exited Tuesday's game against Michigan due to an apparent left leg injury, Daniel Gallen of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact
Mirtic spent some time on the trainer's table getting his left leg worked on before exiting in his first start of the season. He logged seven minutes, and now it's unclear if he'll be able to play Purdue on Saturday.
