Abdullah Ahmed - No action after all Ahmed (undisclosed) did not take the court in Saturday's 82-76 victory over Texas Tech.
Impact Ahmed surfaced on Saturday's availability report despite playing in the last 13 games and averaging 12.2 mpg over that span, though his playing time dipped a bit to 8.5 mpg over his last four. The sophomore was given a "probable" status and ultimately removed from the report, so while he's presumed healthy enough to go, he never saw game action. His absence could simply be a matter of the team taking a conservative approach with whatever was ailing him, though the fact Khadim Mboup got added run in this game (26 minutes) also may have played a role. In a game that was close throughout, no bench player other than Mboup saw more than four minutes. Ahmed's next chance to take the court will be in the Big 12 Tournament on Tuesday against Kansas State.
