UConn has already made March Madness’ most insane buzzer-beater

The madness cometh early.

Just when it looked like Cincinnati finally had UConn in a coffin, the Huskies reached out from beyond the grave and nailed the first mind-blowing buzzer beater of March.

UConn’s game-saver came moments after the Bearcats drilled what appeared to be a dagger in the final moment of the third overtime period (!!) of Friday’s second round AAC tournament game. Officials decided Cincinnati’s shot entered the hoop with .8 seconds left on the clock, giving UConn, down 88-85, a narrow window for a quick catch-and-shoot three to tie the game.

This suited Jalen Adams just fine.

The Huskies freshman received the ensuing inbound and chucked up a nearly three-quarters court heave. Bank. Good. Overtime.

UConn went on to win the game 104-97 in the fourth overtime period. Your move, NCAA tournament.
