Available against UNC Castle (knee) is available for Connecticut's game Tuesday against North Carolina, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact Castle was only one game off his initial return date target. Instead of the Kansas matchup, he will return for the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden. However, Castle may not make an immediate impact right off his return, as he could receive a minutes restriction Tuesday. Considering his return from a near-month-long knee injury, chances are the Huskies follow through with a limited Castle for at least one game.

Missing Kansas game Coach Dan Hurley said that Castle (knee) is trending up but will not face Kansas on Friday, Joe Arruda of the Hartford Courant reports.

Impact Castle will miss his sixth straight game with a knee injury. It sounds like it shouldn't be too much longer before he returns, however. Castle is one of the top recruits in the country and is averaging 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals in two games played this season.

Targeting Dec. 1 return Castle (knee) is targeting his return for Connecticut's game at Kansas on Dec. 1, according to Adam Zagoria of NJ.com.

Impact Like Connecticut, Kansas is a top contender to win the 2024 NCAA Championship, so it should not be too surprising that Castle is targeting his return for when both teams begin their December schedule against each other. While he will sit out at least two more of the Huskies' games, they may be all Castle is absent for, a surprising but welcome development following the minor procedure of his injured knee.

Impact Castle's status is expected to be updated by coach Dan Hurley after the game. Castle is one of the top freshman in the country averaging 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals through the first two games this season. Hopefully this is not a long-term issue. Expect Hassan Diarra to get the start on Tuesday in Castle's place.

Impact Castle's playing time vastly trailed Tristen Newton and Cam Spencer, but all three players started Monday's contest. The 6-foot-6 guard has versatility to be utilized as a wing, which makes him a chess piece for UConn. The touted freshman should remain a consistent contributor, although not all contests will be 43-point victories.
