St. John's shows it has the makings of a Big East championship team in win at UConn
Tarris Reed - Double-double vs. Red Storm Reed amassed 12 points (5-7 FG, 2-4 FT), 15 rebounds and three blocks over 32 minutes during Friday's 68-62 loss to St. John's.
Impact Reed was a huge proponent of the Huskies keeping the game close against the Johnnies, and he outscored all but one of the team's starters. The 6-foot-10 junior also led his team in rebounds, contributing to his sixth double-double of the season. He should continue to be a spark off the bench this Tuesday at Creighton.

Liam McNeeley - 18-point double-double in return McNeeley recorded 18 points (4-15 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 11 rebounds and one steal in 29 minutes during Friday's 68-62 loss to St. John's.
Impact McNeeley returned to action with a minute restriction in the Huskies' eventual loss to St. John's, but he still came up big with a team-high 18 points. The freshman forward's minutes should continue to increase in the coming games, as he works back fully from his ankle injury. His presence on the court definitely boosted UConn's performance even though they weren't able to take the game against the Red Storm, and he should continue to have a big impact at Creighton this Tuesday.

Alex Karaban - Thwarted in loss to Johnnies Karaban had three points (1-6 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Friday's 68-62 loss to St. John's.
Impact Karaban logged a season-low in points against the Red Storm, which had major implications on the Huskies eventual loss. The 6-foot-8 forward missed all three of his three-point attempts, and he made just one shot from the field otherwise. He'll have to find a way to get more involved in UConn's offense as they travel to Creighton this upcoming Tuesday.

RJ Luis - 21 points in win over Huskies Luis supplied 21 points (10-21 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds and one assist across 34 minutes during Friday's 68-62 victory over UConn.
Impact Luis came up big for the Johnnies in the win over UConn, producing a game-high 21 points and leading his team in rebounds. The junior forward has been producing at high levels especially in the new year, averaging 19.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals since the start of January. He'll look to keep it rolling this Wednesday at Nova.
