Impact Kuath returned to double-digit scoring after combining to play just 17 minutes over his prior two contests. When avoiding foul trouble, the 6'10 senior is a rebounding presence that plays well above the rim. He's exploitable on defense and limited offensively, but Kuath is a rotational asset in his timeshare with Osasere Ighodaro.

Impact Champagnie wraps up his junior regular season on a low note, struggling with efficiency and bricking on four-plus threes for the second straight game. Champagnie will look to keep the Red Storm season alive Thursday against DePaul in the first round of the Big East Tournament.

Impact Despite reports that he was sporting a walking boot during practice, Elliott drew his first start of the season on senior night and played well. On the season, the 6-foot-3 guard is averaging 7.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17.0 minutes per game.

Impact Smith saw a brief stint in the starting lineup, but considering St. John's has used a unique starting five in each of its past four games, it's not too surprising to see that it didn't last. With the team seemingly healthy, Smith will likely resume a reserve role in this week's Big East tournament.

Impact Wheeler came off the bench Wednesday after starting 11 consecutive games, over which he had averaged 14.4 points and 5.5 rebounds. He ended up recorded a double-double despite the circumstances, and was back in the starting five for the eventual loss to Marquette. St. John's desperately needed this win to climb back into the bubble, but now the Red Storm will likely have to sweep the Big East tournament in order to steal an automatic bid.
