Impact Mallette was held out of Sunday's contest with an illness, marking his ninth missed game of the season. Head coach Nate Oats indicated that Mallette had been dealing with the illness since returning from Christmas break and the coaching staff is hopeful he can make his return soon. The senior guard previously missed the first eight games of the season while preparing for a redshirt, but a number of injuries across the Crimson Tide roster gave Mallette the opportunity to make an impact in his first season in Tuscaloosa.
