Meechie Johnson - Scores team-high 24 points Johnson amassed 24 points (8-19 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-8 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Friday's 79-72 loss to Butler in the Greenbrier Tip-Off.
Impact Since scoring 33 points in the overtime win against Southern Mississippi, Johnson had been limited to a combined 11 points on 28.6 percent from the field and 16.7 percent on 3-pointers. The Gamecocks were able to win both games, but were not able to prevail despite the 6-2 senior's nice scoring. He will look to keep points flowing on Sunday against Northwestern.

He has scored at least seven points in four games. Knox had not sunk a 3-pointer in his previous three games, so maybe Friday's performance will open things up.
