Impact After a four-game absence due to a wrist injury, Allocco made his return for the Irish, coming off the bench for the first time this season. It appears he still needs some time to get back his rhythm, as Wednesday was his only scoreless effort of the 2024-25 campaign.

Markus Burton - More turnovers than points Burton registered two points (1-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt), three assists and one steal in 23 minutes during Wednesday's 97-73 loss to SMU.
Impact After averaging 25.5 ppg over his last four games, Burton finished with more turnovers than points here while playing well below his season minutes average. Chalk this one up as an anomaly for the ACC scoring leader, who will get a chance to bounce back Saturday against Pittsburgh.

Braeden Shrewsberry - Scores 21 points in loss Shrewsberry totaled 21 points (6-11 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and two rebounds in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 97-73 loss to SMU.
Impact The sophomore guard reached the 20-point plateau for the first time since Dec. 11, when he notched 22 points in a win over Dartmouth. Even though Shrewsberry has had some ups and downs of late, but it's worth noting he's scored in double digits in all but two of his last nine contests.

Matt Cross - Comes close to double-double Cross ended with 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 97-73 win over Notre Dame.
Impact Cross finished just one rebound shy of recording a double-double, and while Kario Oquendo led the way in scoring, Cross certainly made his presence felt on both ends of the court. He's averaging 15.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.7 blocks per contest over his last nine games while scoring in double digits in each of those outings.

Kario Oquendo - Scores season-high 25 points Oquendo produced 25 points (8-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), one rebound and two assists over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 97-73 win over Notre Dame.
Impact Oquendo was efficient Wednesday and not only carried the Mustangs offensively, but he did it while posting a new season-high mark in that category. He's been playing well of late and has scored in double digits in five games in a row, averaging 16.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game in that span.
