Stewart will take his talents to SMU after another quiet season at UConn. The 6-foot-7 forward/wing averaged 4.2 points and 2.6 rebounds last season across 16.2 minutes. He'll look to finally develop into a full-time starter in 2026-27.

David Terrell Jr. - Commits to SMU
Terrell has committed to SMU, he told On3 on Thursday.

Rowan Brumbaugh - Commits to SMU
Brumbaugh (pro draft prep) has committed to SMU, according to his announcement Sunday.
Impact
In what was a quiet offseason for SMU thus far, the team's first big splash is one of the portal's best commodities, so good that there is at least some legitimate consideration that he forgoes his remaining collegiate eligibility for the 2026 NBA Draft. Brumbaugh averaged 19.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.9 three-pointers made and 1.6 steals across 33 of Tulane's games last season. If he does not enter the 2026 NBA Draft, the Mustangs have got themselves an excellent guard to shore up their backcourt.
