Takes over in second half Saunders contributed 26 points (9-16 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 33 minutes during Tuesday's 85-68 win over Delaware.

Impact Saunders shot 6-for-8 in the second half, accumulating 20 of his 26 points during the final 20 minutes as BYU pulled away from the feisty Blue Hens. The entire Cougar squad struggled in the first half as they trailed by as many as 13 points but they closed the gap late in the half, then pulled away in the second thanks in large part to Saunders, who added 10 boards to record the second double double of his career. The senior wing is now averaging 20.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.3 steals across 27.7 minutes on the young season while shooting 51.3-percent from the floor and 47.4-percent from beyond the arc.

Impact Saunders put together a solid line despite connecting on less than two-thirds of his field-goal attempts. The senior wing has shot greater than 50-percent from the floor in each of the last two seasons and is coming off a campaign in which he connected on 43.2-percent of his attempts from beyond the arc. BYU is loaded and Saunders is set to lead the charge as the Cougars have their sights set on big things this season.

Impact Saunders was excellent in Thursday's Sweet 16 tilt, but it was not enough to get past the red-hot Crimson Tide. He scored 25 points in his second consecutive game on a very efficient 10-14 from the field. He also set a season high with four steals in his 33 minutes of action. His excellent season has now come to an end, a campaign where he averaged 16.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.1 steals on 51.1/43.1/82.9 shooting splits.
