Granted eligibility Bailey (not injury related) has been granted temporary eligibility ahead of the 2026-27 season, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Bailey is one of several players who received temporary eligibility to play in the 2026-27 season, but with less than two weeks before the campaign starts, the NCAA could still appeal the decision. Bailey is expected to be a reliable contributor for St. John's after a 2025-26 season in which he averaged 8.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game with Indiana.

Impact Bailey hit the portal with a "do not contact" tag, and sure enough, less than an hour after his entry he's reportedly signed with the Johnnies. Judging by the "do not contact" tag he entered the portal with, the 6-10 forward likely has a pretty good idea of where he's going to land. Last season with the Hoosiers, Bailey averaged 8.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists.

Impact Bailey was utilized even more than usual in the loss against the Buckeyes, which could definitely be attributed to the nature of the blowout loss. Still, the senior big man logged his best scoring game since Jan. 31, and he notched five boards. He should remain a key piece off the bench as the Hoosiers aim to at least play competitively in the Big Ten Tournament.

The forward's role and output have fluctuated significantly this offseason, but he's still averaging 10.1 points and 4.1 rebounds. His production has been even more volatile since coming off the bench, however, so fantasy managers should proceed with caution when deploying Bailey.
