Impact The Wolfpack couldn't move into the ACC Tournament semifinals in a seven-point loss to the Cavaliers, but that wasn't McNeil's fault by any means -- he scored at least 15 points in his two ACC Tournament games. It remains to be seen if NC State will make the NCAA Tournament, but McNeil had an impressive 2025-26 season either way. He averaged 13.9 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 42.9 percent from three-point range in 33 appearances.

Impact McNeil put up a rare goose egg on the scoreboard earlier this week in a blowout loss at Louisville, so it was good to see the sophomore wing get his offense back on track, even if it was in defeat. McNeil leads the Wolfpack with 81 three-pointers made and is hitting them at a 43.5 percent clip, but being a player whose overall output hinges on perimeter success is a formula for a volatile game log from a fantasy standpoint.

Impact McNeil has been one of the ACC's most-improved players, as he's more than tripled his minutes, scoring and rebounding averages from a season ago. The game log is a bit volatile however, though he has achieved double figures in five of his last six -- a streak that started with a 47-point explosion against Texas Southern back on Dec. 17. Saturday was his best scoring output since, and his third-best total of the year. While the shooting may be streaky, McNeil is a big reason the NCAA Tournament-hopeful Wolfpack, under the direction of new coach Will Wade, are fifth in the country in three-point shooting (40.1 percent) heading into Monday's slate of games.
