14 off the bench Mayer amassed 14 points (5-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two steals across 23 minutes during Sunday's 97-79 victory over Akron.

Impact Mayer's 23 minutes were the most of his young career, and he made the most of them with 14 points on 50 percent shooting from the field. With four boards and six dimes as well, the Israeli-born freshman was all over the court. He appears to be a fixture of the Boilermakers' bench and should have a significant role all season.
