Good Morning, Illini Nation: Will Illinois stay ranked? Another split week in Big Ten play will mean a likely drop in AP Top 25, but how far?

Devin Royal - Puts up 29 in loss Royal logged 29 points (10-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and seven rebounds over 36 minutes during Sunday's 87-79 loss to Illinois.
Impact It was the highest single-game scoring effort of conference play for Royal, who hit multiple triples for just the second time all season. With a season-long scoring average of 14.6 ppg, the sophomore wing is second on the team only to Bruce Thornton (17.2 ppg), who also logged 20 points in the contest.

Aaron Bradshaw - Limited production in start Bradshaw provided two points (1-3 FG), two rebounds and one block over 18 minutes during Sunday's 87-79 loss to Illinois.
Impact Bradshaw picked up the start with starting center Sean Stewart (6.1 ppg, 6.0 rpg) sidelined by an illness, but his final stat line wasn't anything to write home about. He began the year as the starter before facing a multi-week absence due to a school investigation, and the Kentucky transfer hasn't quite found his rhythm since. He has yet to reach double-digit scoring in a single Big Ten game.

Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn - Scores 10 in first start Gibbs-Lawhorn finished Sunday's 87-79 victory over Ohio State with 10 points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and one steal in 23 minutes.
Impact Gibbs Lawhorn has seen his minutes fluctuate frequently during his sophomore season, but he picked up the start Sunday over Kylan Boswell and paid it off with his third double-digit scoring effort in the last four contests. It's unclear if this alignment will continue, however, as Boswell is the team's third-leading scorer at 12.1 ppg on the season.

Will Riley - Highest total of Big Ten play Riley had 24 points (7-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 9-12 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes during Sunday's 87-79 win over Ohio State.
Impact Riley needed 16 shots to record 16 points Thursday against Nebraska, but he was far more efficient here, especially with his ability to get to the foul line. His previous season best in free throw attempts was nine, set all the way back on Dec. 14 against Tennessee. Riley's production has been hit-or-miss in his freshman season, as he was averaging just 6.4 ppg across eight contests to begin the 2025 calendar year. He showed Sunday that he can still be a major contributor when given the right matchup.
