Not starting Wednesday Locke will come off the bench on Wednesday as the Cardinals take on the Fighting Irish.

Impact Locke, who has started 22 games for the Cardinals this season, will come off the bench Wednesday against Notre Dame. The 6-foot-3 senior has appeared in 23 games, averaging 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.5 steals on 26.3 minutes per game this season. Locke will take a rare break from the starting rotation for Louisville as the Cardinals try out a new lineup.

Records 10 in defeat Locke accumulated 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt) and four rebounds in 29 minutes during Saturday's 65-53 loss to Pittsburgh.

Impact Locke returned to the starting lineup after heading to the bench for a Jan. 12 contest against N.C. State, and while he shot better than his season-long average, it still wasn't enough to prevent Louisville from suffering its third consecutive defeat, even against a sub-.500 opponent. The Cardinals have spread the ball around quite a bit this season and have just two double-digit scorers as a result, with Locke leading the way at 10.9 ppg.

The senior has had ups and downs over the last few weeks, but it's fair to still rate him as one of Louisville's best players. He is averaging a career-high 11.1 points per game.

Locke seemingly isn't among the infected individuals, as the Florida transfer has appeared in 11 of the Cardinals' games to date while averaging 10.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.3 triples and 0.9 assists.

The inconsistency has hampered him at times, but Locke is still averaging 10.5 points per game.

Impact It's early in the season, but Locke is already making a claim to be one of Louisville's main scoring weapons -- he has surpassed the 15-point mark in each of his first two contests of the campaign. He doesn't contribute a lot in other categories, but he doesn't really have to if he keeps putting up points on the board as regularly as he's done it so far.
