Impact Smith entered this game just one assist shy of Bobby Hurley's all-time NCAA-leading mark, so the record-breaking pass was essentially a foregone conclusion. The pivotal pass came at 12:11 in the first half on a bounce pass to Trey Kaufman-Renn, who also drew the foul and and-one opportunity. With the record in hand, Smith and the Boilermakers now draw Miami on Sunday with a spot in the Sweet Sixteen on the line.
