Tough shooting in return
Amzil amassed three points (1-8 FG, 1-6 3Pt), three rebounds and one steal across 15 minutes during Tuesday's 73-65 loss to San Diego State.
Impact
Amzil returned from a two-game absence, but he may not yet be at 100 percent, as his 15 minutes played were a season-low despite getting the starting nod. The fact he was going up against the best defense in the Mountain West may have also contributed to his 1-for-8 shooting line. He'll get a much easier matchup, and effectively an opportunity to get back into rhythm, when New Mexico hosts Air Force on Saturday.
