Rytis Petraitis - Commits to New Mexico
Petraitis (lower leg) has committed to New Mexico, he announced via his personal X account.
Impact
Petraitis has found his third Division I school, joining the Lobos after two-year stints at Air Force at California. He only played in seven games last season though, missing the final four months of the season due to a lower leg injury. It's currently unclear if that injury will impact the start of the 2026-27 campaign.

Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi - Joining New Mexico
Fasasi has committed to New Mexico, according to VerbalCommits.com.
Impact
Fasasi was a regular starter for William & Mary in the 2025-26 season, averaging a career-high 11.9 points per game. Even though he'll face a higher level of competition in New Mexico, Fasasi should find his way to see regular minutes in the Lobos' rotation.

Imran Suljanovic - Signs with Lobos
Suljanovic (knee) has committed to New Mexico, the team announced.
Impact
Suljanovic will look to make his collegiate debut with the Lobos after suffering a dislocated patella ahead of what would have been his freshman season with St. John's. The 6-foot-8 forward still hasn't been fully cleared from his injury, but he'll have plenty of time to get to full health before the 2026-27 campaign.

Chris Howell - Granted waiver, will return
Howell (wrist) has received a waiver to play in the 2026-27 season and will return to the Lobos, according to Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal.
Impact
Howell was limited to just 11 starts for New Mexico in the 2025-26 season, averaging 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. He should reclaim his starting role if healthy for the 2026-27 campaign.

Hudson Mayes - Transferring to UNM
Mayes will play for New Mexico in the 2026-27 season, according to Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal.
Impact
Mayes spent the previous season at UC San Diego and posted decent numbers, averaging 11.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest. A guard who can play both wing spots, Mayes should add some much-needed depth at the two and three positions for the Lobos.

Deyton Albury - Returns in win over Hawks
