Simas Lukošius - On tear to start season Lukosius logged 14 points (6-7 FG, 2-2 3Pt), two rebounds, six assists and one steal across 26 minutes during Friday's 83-56 win over Morehead State.

Impact Lukosius has been lights out to start the season, posting 34 points while shooting 14-17 (82.3%) from the floor through two games, including hitting five of seven from behind the arc. The senior forward averaged 11.8 points last season for the Bearcats while shooting 39.2% from the floor and 38.5% from three. He looks poised to take a substantial leap forward this year as he leads a Bearcat squad that is expected to finish in the upper half of a loaded Big 12.

Dillon Mitchell - Off to strong start with new club Mitchell finished Friday's 83-56 win over Morehead State with 14 points (7-7 FG, 0-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal in 23 minutes.

Impact Mitchell finished one rebound shy of a double-double and has now posted 24 points and 17 boards through two games with the Bearcats. The junior transfer from Texas averaged 9.6 points and 7.5 rebounds for the Longhorns last season and is already playing a major role for a Cincinnati team that is primed to make a leap into the upper echelon of the Big 12.

Day Day Thomas - Out vs. Morehead State Thomas (foot) won't play against Morehead State on Friday night, Neil Meyer of Rivals.com reports.

Impact Thomas missed the Bearcats' opener, and will now miss his second straight contest to start the 2024-2025 season. Cincinnati's top point guard averaged 10.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists last season. This should mean Jizzle James is in line to get the start once again.

Dan Skillings - Out Friday night Skillings (undisclosed) won't play on Friday night against Morehead State, Keegan Nickoson of BearcatJournal.com reports.

Impact Skillings started in the Bearcats' opener and dropped a 17-point, 11-rebounds double-double. The guard will now miss Cincinnati's second game of the year, and his next chance to take the court will come next Friday against Nicholls State.
