Williams is considered an elite rebounder, so he addresses a major need on the roster. He spent the 2025-26 season at North Alabama, where he averaged 12.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per contest. He should see steady minutes in the Tigers' frontcourt.

Impact
Deng has found his fourth school in as many years, joining Memphis for his senior year. He made just eight appearances this past season with N.C. State, averaging 6.1 points and 2.1 rebounds across 12.6 minutes per game. He also spent one season at both Hampton and Florida State.

Cummings took a big step forward in his sophomore season at Pitt. Though an ankle injury limited him to 19 games, the guard averaged 12.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists. The 6-foot-3 guard is also a capable three-point shooter, although the 2025-26 season was something of a down year in that regard (32.6 percent from beyond the arc).

Whorton transferred to Memphis from South Dakota State ahead of the 2025 campaign and is now expected to remain at the school for at least one more season. As he started 17 games for Memphis this past season, Thedford is expected to be a major contributor for the team next year.

Thedford suffered an injury in the first half of Sunday's contest, and he was later seen with a brace around his right calf.
