The freshman guard brings a lot to the table and has fit in as a perfect complimentary piece for the Cyclones. Toure has started all 22 games and has been playing his best basketball during their recent four-game winning streak, averaging 11.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals while shooting 54.5-percent from the floor and 50.0-percent from long range across 25.3 minutes.

Impact Iowa State brought in a recruiting class featuring two four-star, top-100 recruits, but Toure has been the freshman who has earned the starting job at shooting guard and held on to it all year for the undefeated Cyclones. The return of Tamin Lipsey meant that Toure wasn't needed as a ball distributor, dishing out just one assist after having recorded six in each of his past two performances. However, the freshman guard did pull down a season high off the glass while collecting multiple thefts for the fifth time in nine games.
