Impact Dawes and the Utes were demolished by the Wildcats when it was all said and done, but the junior big man at least supplied another solid scoring performance. The 6-foot-9 forward has now logged three straight games with 15 or more points. He's averaging 12.4 points and 9.2 rebounds on 29.8 minutes per game.

The junior center was a high per-minute performer last season, posting averages of 8.3 points and 6.4 rebounds across just 18.6 minutes per game. That includes averaging 14.2 points and 10.4 boards in the nine games he saw at least 23 minutes of action and 20.0 points and 13.0 boards across 33.5 minutes while starting the final two games of the season. Dawes is set for a major role this season and has proven he can put up monster numbers when given the opportunity.
