Seydou Traore - Steady role for Utes Traore registered nine points (3-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and three steals in 23 minutes during Saturday's 89-84 loss to BYU.

Impact Traore may not be the top offensive option for the Utes, but the junior guard has started every game he's appeared in at small forward while improving his scoring average by three points compared to last year with Iowa. The downside is that Utah has lost three in a row, is 0-3 in Big 12 play and is already well on the outside looking in with respect to the NCAA Tournament bubble.

Impact Dawes and the Utes were demolished by the Wildcats when it was all said and done, but the junior big man at least supplied another solid scoring performance. Impact Utah didn't have problems getting past Eastern Washington, and the blowout nature of the game allowed Traore to see time in his first appearance of the season. Traore should continue to see minutes off the bench as he ramps up his fitness en route toward securing a significant role in the rotation.

No explanation was released by the team, so Patrick should be considered questionable for next Saturday's matchup against Eastern Washington.

Impact Traore missed his first game of the season as the Utes took down the Lakers on Saturday. Traore's next chance to suit up will come against Mississippi State this Saturday.
