Darryn Peterson - Out against K-State Peterson (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Kansas State, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Peterson will miss yet another game with a lingering ankle issue after a string of six healthy games for the Jayhawks. The 6-foot-6 freshman has been a monster when active this season for KU, averaging 21.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, one steal and 0.7 blocks on 27.2 minutes per game, but he has been limited to just 10 appearances on the year. Peterson's next chance to suit up will come against BYU next Saturday, but he will be sorely missed in a rivalry showdown with the Wildcats.

Though Self identified the issue as an ankle sprain, his questionable availability for Saturday's matchup indicates that the issue may not be too serious. If he is unable to suit up agaisnt K State, he'll get another week to get himself right before a big-time matchup against fellow freshman A.J. Dybantsa and BYU.

Impact Council has been forced to step back a bit offensively with the return of five-star freshman and future NBA lottery pick Darryn Peterson, but he came in clutch here with a four-game scoring high on a night in which Peterson was limited to 16. There's still plenty of fantasy value here for the Kansas point guard, even with Peterson at full strength, as Council is also chipping in averages of 4.8 apg and 4.5 rpg. The duo has helped the Jayhawks to a three-game winning streak, which includes a signature victory Jan. 13 against Iowa State.

Impact White needed just six shot attempts to accumulate 17 points, thanks in large part to drilling a couple threes and making 10 trips to the charity stripe. However, it was his career high 15 boards that made the biggest difference for Kansas as they moved to 4-2 in Big 12 play. The effort marked White's fifth double double of the season and came on the heels of a season-worst offensive performance in which he scored six points on 1-for-8 shooting against Baylor. Otherwise, White has been a great addition for the Jayhawks this season and is posting averages of 16.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.5 blocks with three double doubles through six conference games.
