Tallies 17 in victory Jones amassed 17 points (6-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 82-52 victory over Providence.

Impact Jones has seen his scoring totals dip below his season average in each of his last three games, but he's at least recorded 20 assists over that span. On the bright side, Marquette has been able to take advantage of a softer home schedule of late, winning three of its last four to bounce back from a three-game losing streak to start the month of February. Next up is a road matchup against Georgetown on Saturday.

Impact Jones produced one of his better scoring games against the Huskies, eclipsing 20 points for the first time in seven games. The senior guard was unable to get his three-point shots to fall, but he made up for it from the close range with a 53.3 shooting percentage from inside of the arc. Jones' efforts could start to be reeling back from a recent-game slump, and he'll be relied on heavily on a tough road-game tear against St. John's on Tuesday and then Creighton next Saturday.

Slumping for Marquette Jones supplied 11 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt), three rebounds, six assists and one steal in 39 minutes during Saturday's 59-57 loss to Xavier.

Impact Jones may have once been considered one of the best scorers in the nation, but the senior guard has hit a rough patch of late. Over his last three games, Jones is shooting 35.4 percent from the field and just 19.0 percent from distance, so it wasn't surprising to see Marquette take it's first conference loss Saturday and struggle with DePaul earlier in the week. He'll have a good chance to get back on track Tuesday when Marquette hits the road to face a last-place Seton Hall squad.

Impact Even though he ended with 11 points in the comeback win against the Hoyas, Jones' offensive struggles continued as he registered a measly 28.6 field-goal percentage and was unable to cash in most of his short-range shots. The star point guard has now shot just 40.9 percent from the field in Marquette's last six games, even as he averages 18.7 points per game in that stretch. This means if the 6-foot-5 senior can return to the shooting efficiency that he's capable of in the coming conference outings, his scoring performances should be phenomenal on top of his abilities to get the rest of the team involved.
