Impact Reed came off the bench for the first time this season, and that move paid off for Penn State as he logged his first double-double of the year and got back in double figures scoring-wise for the first time since Dec. 2. As a starter, Reed had been averaging just 8.4 points and 3.7 rebounds -- the Nittany Lions may keep him coming off the bench after the near upset of Michigan.

Impact Reed's five points were his lowest scoring output since the Nittany Lions' opener. The forward also only managed to pull down one rebound as Penn State got completely dominated by the Hoosiers. It's hard to discern a lot in the midst of a 41-point loss, but Reed and the Nittany Lions will need to regroup quickly after a rude awakening to Big Ten play.

The Nittany Lions will need more production out of their front court at some point, but it's good to see the senior Reed stack good performances in what's been the most extended playing time of his career.

Impact Reed will join the Nittany Lions after spending the last three seasons with Cincinatti.
