Impact Blackwell didn't get much help from his frontcourt in a game that was largely played from 10 or more points behind, but his ability to convert tough shots kept the struggling Badger offense within striking distance in what would have otherwise been a total blowout. Blackwell forms an outstanding backcourt duo with newcomer Nick Boyd that averages a combined 40.0 ppg through eight games this season, but Wisconsin has lost two of its last three, all against power-conference competition. The Badgers will look to bounce back Wednesday at home against Northwestern, their first Big Ten opponent.
