Impact McBride started his career at Vanderbilt, but has played the last three season with Oral Roberts. The 6-foot-1 guard improved in all categories this past year, averaging 19.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists. The second-team All-Summit will now look to find a third college to play for in his career, and his 3-point shot and overall ability to score should help his case in the offseason.

Scores 20 points McBride logged 20 points (6-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), three assists, one rebound and one steal across 26 minutes during Oral Roberts' 103-53 win Monday versus South Dakota.

Impact McBride transferred to Oral Roberts during April 2021. He was a backup option across most of the Eagles' previous season. But now, McBride and Max Abmas are their starting backcourt. The transferred guard averaged 16.3 points across Oral Roberts' last four games of January. As a collegiate athlete, 2023 is expected to be his best year. McBride was the Eagles' only non-senior part of their starting lineup that they have mostly used since November. Presuming his collegiate eligibility is not foregone and senior teammates graduate during May, he would receive an opportunity to captain this team as its primary scorer.

Impact Vanderbilt will be without three players for this game -- Dylan Disu, Quentin Millora-Brown and Akeem Odusipe -- so the presence of McBride off the bench is certainly a boost. He missed three straight games with what Jerry Stackhouse described as a pretty significant ankle sprain. McBride is averaging 2.9 points across 9.4 minutes per game this season, though.

Impact McBride was spotted in a boot during Tuesday's game against Kentucky, so it's not a huge surprise that he's slated to miss a number of contests. The freshman guard has provided some depth minutes off the bench in the early going but hasn't produced on a large scale for the most part. The Commodores will likely shorten the bench rotation in McBride's absence, opening the door for a few added minutes from those in the regular rotation.
