Clifford Omoruyi - Limited output early Omoruyi supplied six points (3-4 FG, 0-1 FT), six rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes during Wednesday's 100-87 victory over Illinois.
Impact Omoruyi was one of the prized transfers of the offseason, but he's been held in check though the Crimson Tide's first five games. He's scored single-digit points in three straight contests, and is only averaging 18.2 minutes. The center also hasn't been that assertive, averaging just 4.4 attempts per game. He's rebounding and blocking the ball at a solid clip, but he simply hasn't been the biggest factor offensively in Tuscaloosa.

Impact The fact that Alabama managed to beat a very talented Illinois team by double digits while Sears didn't offer up a single point speaks volumes about the potential of this Crimson Tide team. As for Sears, he was limited to 21 minutes and took a season-low five field goal attempts. The point guard has somewhat struggled from the field early, shooting 39.6 percent through five games.
