Returns in exhibition play Beverly (back) had eight points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three assists and one rebound across 16 minutes in Wednesday's exhibition victory over Nova Southeastern.

Impact Beverly made 15 starts in 19 appearances for the Canes in 2020-21 but missed the last eight games of the season due to a back injury. Considering he appeared in a relatively low-stakes exhibition contest, it appears the third-year guard is good to go for the upcoming season. All signs are pointing to a shift to a reserve role, however, as Miami is bringing in a star transfer player from DePaul in Charlie Moore to play point guard.

Impact Beverly has contributed across the board for Miami this season in his 19 appearances, collecting 6.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 steals over 28.7 minutes per game in his 19 appearances (15 starts). With Miami unlikely presumably set to miss postseason play beyond the conference tournament, it appears the sophomore will instead gear up for a return next season.

It was a complete performance from the sophomore, who is now averaging 8.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game through his first three appearances.
