Impact Hill has been dealing with a toe injury during the offseason, and it appears the injury is lingering longer than anticipated. The 6-foot-8 sophomore appeared in 23 contests for Wichita State last season, averaging 1.4 points and 2.2 rebounds in 4.2 minutes per game during that time. He will hope to continue working through his recovery to hasten his eventual return.

Jaret Valencia - Far from a return Valencia (achilles) is moving around but is not close to a return, per Taylor Eldridge of The Wichita Eagle.

Impact Valencia underwent season-ending surgery in January due to a ruptured Achilles and is still working his way through his recovery. The 6-foot-9 senior appeared in just 11 contests for Wichita State last season, averaging 2.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. He will hope to progress through his recovery quickly, though it seems he will miss a decent amount of time.

Impact Giles is eligible and is now looking to obtain a fifth season, like many athletes who graduated high school in 2022 but have since been denied a fifth year of eligibility. If he does in fact return, it would be enormous for the Shockers; Giles averaged 19.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.6 steals on 41/38/83 shooting splits.

Impact Long is approaching his sixth season of college ball. As a fifth-year senior in 2025-26, he finally became a full-time starter, averaging 12.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists with George Mason. Now, he'll take his talents to the Shockers, where he'll look to compete for starting point guard duties. Long can also notably fill it up from distance; he shot 37.7 percent from three on nearly four attempts per game last season.

Impact Frison will look to bring his sharpshooting ability to the Shockers. In his lone season with Chattanooga, Frison averaged 16.4 points and four assists per contest while shooting 55 percent from the floor and 45.1 percent from deep. He's entering what should be his final season of eligibility.

Impact Berg started in 10 of his 35 appearances with Wichita State in 2025-26, and the big man will add depth to the frontcourt once again in 2026-27. He's coming off a junior year in which he averaged 8.8 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while playing a personal-best 21.9 minutes per game.

Impact Williams is one of several players who announced their return to the program for the 2026-27 season. Williams could be in line for a bigger role in his sophomore year after averaging 8.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game as a freshman across 35 appearances (16 starts) in 2025-26.
