Impact Kalscheur had not scored in double figures in any of his last five games. He ended up having a very good showing as Iowa State nearly pulled off the upset at Allen Fieldhouse. The Minnesota transfer has started every game of his career and is now averaging 10.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.2 three-pointers this season.

After undergoing surgery on the finger, Kalscheur was projected to miss 3-to-4 weeks, and Pitino's comments about the junior guard suggests he's trending toward the longer end of that timeline.
