Impact Kalscheur scored in double figures for the third consecutive game after coming off of one of the roughest scoring stretches of the season, averaging just 7.3 points while shooting 28.1 percent from the floor over the previous four contests. However, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard's efficiency still has yet to improve, as he's converted just 28.2 percent of his 13.0 field-goal tries per game over the last three games. Kalscheur isn't likely to be a worthwhile fantasy consideration over the Cyclones' final three regular-season games unless his field-goal efficiency significantly improves moving forward.

However, the fifth-year guard has now logged single-digit points in each of the past three games, as he's shot just 30.8 percent from three and 24.0 percent overall during this stretch. Kalscheur has shot 39.3 percent from beyond the arc and 45 percent from the floor overall since becoming a starter, which provides optimism that he'll break out of the scoring slump at some point. Iowa State's next game will come Wednesday against a TCU squad that lost 72-68 without two of its usual starters versus No. 14 Baylor on Saturday.

Kalscheur has always provided consistent production on the defensive end, though he's now averaged a career-high 12.5 points this season as a result of his increased role. It's unlikely Kalscheur will be able to maintain this jump-up in efficiency, though he may need to in order for Iowa State to come away with a win against Texas on Tuesday.

While Kalscheur has still been a streaky shooter from beyond the arc, his 12.5 field-goal attempts and 6.3 three-point tries per contest should continue to net a consistent scoring role alongside Jaren Holmes.
