Impact It was the first start of the season for Bidunga, who remains unpolished offensively and a foul-trouble risk, but still offers steady contributions on the glass and in terms of rim protection. With KJ Adams (shoulder) set to miss Wednesday's matchup at TCU, another start could very well be in the cards for the 6-9 freshman.

Impact Bidunga will get his first career start in the absence of Adams against the Wildcats. The 6-foot-9 freshman averages 6.2 points and 5.0 rebounds across 13.3 minutes this season. He's shooting a highly efficient 80.7 percent from the field as well. He figures to start in Adams' place so long as the forward is out.

Impact Bidunga played a season-high 21 minutes during Sunday's lopsided win, smashing a previous career high by rejecting six shots. The freshman also added 12 points, the first time he's reached double figures since the opening game of the season. Bidunga has averaged 13.2 minutes per game thus far this season but has seen an uptick over the last three, averaging 17.3 minutes while contributing 9.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.7 blocks during that three-game stretch.

Impact Bidunga saw only 11 minutes Friday but still managed to contribute eight points and eight boards in his first action against a stiff power-conference opponent. The highly-touted freshman has made an impact already for the top-ranked Jayhawks, making nine of 10 shots while collecting 16 rebounds through two games. It was always going to be a long shot for Bidunga to receive significant court time thanks to the depth and talent of the Jayhawks but more performances like this will likely elevate Bidunga into a greater role even without the aid of alternative circumstances such as an injury to free open some extra time in the rotation.

Swats four shots in exhibition Bidunga tallied 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, four blocks and three assists in Tuesday's exhibition win over Washburn.

Impact The freshman has been asked to start at center in both of the team's exhibition games with Hunter Dickinson nursing a foot injury. It is certainly good reps for the young big man in case Dickinson is ever forced to miss time during the season. Bidunga's offensive game is limited at this point, but he's an elite rim protector and lob finisher. Kansas will begin the regular season on Monday against Howard.
