Impact Coit replaced Darius Adams in the starting lineup. It was the 5-11 senior's first start since Feb. 1. He scored in double digits for the second time in the last three games, but Terps lost for the fourth straight time and lost 20 games in a season for the first time since 1988-89. Maryland will face Oregon in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Tuesday. Coit had eight points in 20 minutes off the bench in the Jan. 2 loss to the Ducks.

Impact Coit has been one of the streakier players in the country this season. He's had a handful of monster games; 43 points against Penn State, 41 points and Mount St. Mary's, 31 points against Michigan and 30 points at USC. He's also had plenty of duds, though, and while his eight points on 50 percent shooting certainly wasn't abysmal, it wasn't nearly enough to prevent Maryland from getting destroyed by Purdue for its ninth loss in conference play.
