Heading to portal
Harris has entered the transfer portal, Matt Zenitz of On3.com reports.
Impact
Harris has yet to play this season while away from the team to undisclosed personal reasons, which have apparently spurred him to leave the Georgetown program altogether. The junior point guard was the Hoyas' top returning scorer from the 2021-22 season, when he averaged 11.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals across 29 starts. He should have at least two years of remaining collegiate eligibility.

ROTOWIRE
DNP again Tuesday
Harris (personal) did not play during Georgetown's 75-63 loss Tuesday versus Northwestern.
Impact
Personal problems continue preventing Harris from playing. Unfortunately this time, he sat out the Hoyas' third game of their 2022-23 season and as they lost embarrassingly. Harris' next chance to play is Friday versus Loyola Marymount.

DNP vs. Coppin State
Harris (personal) did not play during Georgetown's 99-89 win Tuesday versus Coppin State.
Impact
As expected, Harris did not participate in the Hoyas' first game of their newest season. They are scheduled to play again Saturday versus Wisconsin-Green Bay.

ROTOWIRE
Likely out for opener
Harris (personal) remains unavailable for the Hoyas in advance of Tuesday's season opener against Coppin State, John Fanta of Fox Sports reports.
Impact
Given Harris has not been with the team due to personal matters, the likelihood of him suiting up Tuesday appears slim. It's a major blow for the Hoyas given he's the team's leading returning scorer and has been the primary point guard in each of the last two seasons. In his stead, Duquesne transfer Primo Spears and perhaps three-star freshman Denver Anglin could see some extra run at PG.

ROTOWIRE
Away from team for personal matters
Head coach Patrick Ewing said Wednesday that Harris is currently away from the team dealing with personal issues, Kareem Copeland of the Washington Post reports.
Impact
It's uncertain how long Harris will be away from the team for personal matters, but he was in the midst of competing for a starting backcourt role with Primo Spears. Expect to hear more regarding Harris' status within the upcoming days.

Drops 23 points in loss
Harris finished with 23 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), two rebounds, one assist and three steals over 37 minutes during Sunday's 86-77 loss to UConn.
Impact
Coming off a four-point game against DePaul on Thursday, Harris shook any doubts of his offensive prowess by tying his season-high for points that he set just five games ago. The sophomore has averaged 16 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists during 35 minutes over the last five games. His previous scoring high on 10 attempts from the floor was 14 against Longwood on Nov. 30.

ROTOWIRE
Contributes 10 points
Harris closed with 10 points (5-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds, five assists and three steals in 31 minutes during Saturday's 80-66 loss to Creighton.
Impact
Harris has averaged nine points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists during 32.9 minutes over the last 10 games. The sophomore hasn't been able to replicate the production he enjoyed through the first 10 games of the year when he averaged 12.8 points, 5.3 assists and 4.2 rebounds. He will continue searching for his shot against Creighton on Monday.

ROTOWIRE
Scores season average in return
Harris closed Sunday's 88-69 loss to St. John's with 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt), one rebound, four assists and one steal over 32 minutes.
Impact
Harris missed a Jan. 13 contest against Butler and the team suffered an embarrassing loss as a result, but he was back in action and again serving as the primary point guard Sunday. The second-year guard has started all 12 of the games he's appeared in so far while serving as a key cog in a balanced scoring attack. Harris is third on the team in scoring at 13.0 ppg, and his 4.9 apg mark is also tops on the Hoyas. Assuming he's good to go, Harris has matchups against Providence (Thursday) and Villanova (Saturday) on the schedule this week.

ROTOWIRE
Will start Sunday
Harris (illness) is in the starting lineup for Sunday's contest against St. John's, Jordan Majewski of SB Nation reports.
Impact
Harris will return to the starting lineup after a one-game absence due to an illness. He's averaging 13.0 points, 5.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals in 32.0 minutes during his sophomore season.

ROTOWIRE
Officially out Thursday
Harris (illness) is out Thursday against Butler, Bobby Bancroft of the Associated Press reports.
Impact
The starting point guard was not seen early in warmups and now Harris has been officially ruled out. Donald Carey is also out, leaving Georgetown shorthanded in the backcourt. Tyler Beard projects for a minutes increase in their absence.

ROTOWIRE
Not seen at warmups
Harris (undisclosed) is not warming up ahead of Thursday's game against Butler, Bobby Bancroft of the Associated Press reports.
Impact
There's still time for Harris to join the team for warmups but his absence as the Hoyas take the floor does not bode well for his availability. Harris has started every game at point guard this season, and if he's unable to go, Tyler Beard would likely take over at that spot.

ROTOWIRE
In starting five
Harris is among the starters for Friday's game against Marquette, Kareem Copeland of the Washington Post reports.
Impact
Harris was cleared to return early Friday morning and his inclusion in the starting lineup would seem to suggest he's in line for a sizable workload despite not having played since Dec. 15. Harris enters the night averaging 12.8 points, 5.3 assists and 4.2 rebounds over 31.7 minutes per game.

ROTOWIRE
Good to go Friday
Harris (foot) is available for Friday's game against Marquette, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
Harris missed the Dec. 18 game against TCU due to a foot injury but will be back on the court for Georgetown on Friday. He's averaged 12.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.9 steals in 31.7 minutes through 10 games this season.

ROTOWIRE
Expected to play Friday
Coach Patrick Ewing said Harris (foot) "will be playing" Friday against Marquette, Hilltop Hoops reports.
Impact
Harris missed Georgetown's Dec. 18 matchup with TCU due to a foot injury, but it appears he will return Friday. On the season, the 6-foot sophomore is averaging 12.8 points, 5.3 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 31.7 minutes per game.

Wearing walking boot
Harris is in a walking boot and street clothes ahead of Saturday's game against TCU and won't play, Hilltop Hoops reports.
Impact
It's unclear when Harris may have suffered the injury as he recently played a season-high 36 minutes against Howard on Wednesday. The 6-0 sophomore has averaged 12.8 points, 5.3 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals in 31.7 minutes per game this seasons and presents a massive loss for the Hoyas. Tyler Beard figures to step into the starting five with Harris out.

ROTOWIRE
Light-fingered in win
Harris contributed 10 points (5-17 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds, seven assists, one block and three steals over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 85-73 win over Howard.
Impact
Harris was one of five Hoyas to break the double-digit point mark in the victory. The guard recorded three steals in a game for the third time this season and he remains a pester on defense. He was an aggressive passer and tied his season-high for assists but unfortunately recorded a season-high six turnovers on the evening. He will look to keep his aggression on offense but tidy up his pass decision-making against TCU on Saturday.

Leading passer in win
Harris amassed 13 points (4-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, six assists and two steals over 35 minutes during Sunday's 80-67 loss to South Carolina.
Impact
Harris, despite a poor first-half shooting the ball, remained indisposable passing the ball and rebounding on the offensive glass. The sophomore has averaged 15.4 points and 3.8 rebounds while playing 32.6 minutes in his last five starts.

Leads team in assists
Harris had 17 points (8-18 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six assists, three steals and one rebound, across 34 minutes during Friday's 77-74 loss to Saint Joseph's.
Impact
Harris is on an aggressive shot streak, logging 35 shots in his last two performances. Over that period, he has struggled to shoot from three-point range with just one make on nine attempts. The sophomore had a season-high six assists on the night. He will look to get hotter hands involved against Long on Tuesday.

ROTOWIRE
Continues woes in loss
Harris recorded three points (1-8 FG, 1-5 3PT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 28 minutes in the 74-69 loss to Syracuse on Saturday.
Impact
Harris once again could not find his shooting rhythm in the loss Saturday. The guard has been rather subpar at best the entire season, but still continues to receive a plethora of minutes game in and game out. The worst part about his performances are, that he does not produce anything else when his shot is off. Until he can hold down his minutes and produce efficiently with them, he is not to be warranted.
