Likely to miss rest of season Coach Ed Cooley said that it looks like Nichols (illness) will miss the rest of the season, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.
Impact Nichols has missed the last three games due to a non-COVID-19 related illness. There are no specifics on Nichols' conditions, but obviously his prospects for playing this season are not looking good. The junior started eight games this season and was averaging 6.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 16.8 minutes per contest.

Slides to bench Adams will appear off the bench Wednesday versus Providence, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.
Impact Adams hasn't really sparked the offense since joining the starting lineup, averaging just 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists over 27.5 minutes per game in the six since joining the starting unit. He may be set for a slight role reduction upon his move to the bench.

Coming off bench for first time Cole will come off the bench in Wednesday's game against Providence, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.
Impact This will be the first game of the season in which Cole did not start. Jalen Gaffney will get the start at point instead, though it's hard to say how long that might last or if Cole's minutes will change at all. James Bouknight (elbow) is also nearing a return.

In starting five Gaffney will start Wednesday's game against Providence, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports
Impact Gaffney delivered a season-high 20 points in Saturday's game against Seton Hall, likely leading to his spot in the starting lineup versus the Friars. Gaffney averaged 29.5 minutes in his two starts to open the season compared to 19.4 minutes per game since, so there's reason to anticipate a slightly expanded role given his inclusion in the starting five.
