Silas Demary Jr. - Being evaluated for ankle injury Demary is being evaluated for what is believed to be a "minor sprain" according to head coach Danny Hurley (via Declan Walsh of CT Insider). Impact Demary first gave the Huskies a scare at the 9:15 mark of the second half, when he went down under the basket and play had to be stopped, with the junior guard seen grabbing his left ankel. He walked back to the bench under his own power and ultimately returned tot he game, but went down again just a few minutes later. This time, he had to be carried off, per Joe Arruda of the Hartford Courant. While Hurley is optimistic about Demary's status for next week's NCAA Tournament, the team will get some X-rays just to be safe. Demary serves as the team's primary point guard, averaging 10.9 points, 6.2 assists and 4.5 rebounds. UConn should be able to get by a 15/16 seed without him, relying on Malachi Smith for more minutes, but the Huskies outlook significantly dampens if Demary has to miss multiple games.
