Milan Momcilovic - Pours in 18 Momcilovic closed Thursday's 96-92 loss to BYU with 18 points (8-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt) and five rebounds in 36 minutes.
Impact Momcilovic helped to fill the offensive void for a short-handed Cyclone squad, scoring 18 to match the most points he's totaled in 11 games since missing seven games during the middle of the conference slate due to a hand injury. The sophomore forward shot an efficient 61.5-percent from the floor but it wasn't enough to prevent an Iowa State squad that was missing both starting guards from taking the loss. Momcilovic will play a key role in next week's NCAA tournament as a prime scoring weapon for a Cyclone squad that has lost just one game this season while at full strength.

Curtis Jones - Carries Cyclones in tourney exit Jones ended Thursday's 96-92 loss to BYU with 31 points (11-22 FG, 7-15 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals over 35 minutes.
Impact Jones scored 24 of his 31 points in the first half, but it wasn't quite enough to propel the Cyclones to victory. Jones stepped up for an Iowa State squad that was missing starting guards Tamin Lipsey (Groin) and Keshon Gilbert (strain), connecting on six-straight from beyond the arc during a four-minute stretch in the first half that carried the Cyclones to a halftime lead. The Big 12 sixth man of the year started his ninth game of the season and is now averaging 17.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals during those nine starts. Though Iowa State will not successfully defend their conference championship this season, they'll now have a full week to get healthy prior to the start of next week's NCAA Tournament.

Curtis Jones - Added to starting lineup Jones is part of the Cyclones' starting lineup for their quarterfinal game Thursday against BYU at Kansas City, according to Eugene Rapay of The Journal News.
Impact Currently, the Cyclones are dealing with a backcourt injury bug. Keshon Gilbert (strain) is out, and Tamin Lipsey recently recovered from a groin injury. Considering both in what will be a high-stakes game for better seeding in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, Jones will be part of the Cyclones' starting lineup for their upcoming quarterfinal game of this year's Big 12 tourney. In B12 starts this season, Jones is averaging 17.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.3 three-pointers made. Those stats arguably certify him as the Big 12's best bench player, especially considering a Lipsey-Gilbert duo got most of Iowa State's backcourt starts in conference play.

Tamin Lipsey - Available Thursday Lipsey (groin) is available for Thursday's Big 12 Tournament matchup against BYU, per Eugene Rapay of The Journal News.
Impact Lipsey was previously listed as a game-time decision due to a lingering groin injury, but it appears as if he will play against the Cougars. The 6-foot-1 junior is not featured in the starting lineup but will be available off the bench for the Cyclones. Lipsey has averaged 10.8 points and 3.2 assists per game for Iowa State through 32 contests this season.

Keshon Gilbert - Out for quarterfinal game Gilbert (strain) is out for Iowa State's Big 12 Tournament quarterfinal Thursday against BYU.
Impact Iowa State will not risk using Gilbert, who barely logged more than 10 minutes during ISU's first-round game of the 2025 Big 12 Tournament. Without him available, it would make sense the Cyclones add Nate Heise to their starting backcourt, especially after his performances in starts this season. They include Heise's 9.3 points per game on 72.2 percent shooting from the field and 63.6 percent from three, efficiency excellent enough that Gilbert may not have an easy time getting back into Iowa State's starting five once healthy. Should the Cyclones defeat BYU, they face either Colorado or Houston on Friday. If unsuccessful against the Cougars, Gilbert has until the 2025 NCAA Tournament to rest.

Dishon Jackson - Pulls down 15 boards Jackson posted 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-2 FT), 15 rebounds, one assist and one block in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 76-56 win over Cincinnati.
Impact Jackson put forth a huge effort cleaning the glass, hauling in a season-high 15 rebounds as he collected his second double-double of the season. The senior big man has teamed with Joshua Jackson this season to provide muscle underneath for the otherwise guard-heavy Cyclones. He's averaging 8.4 points, 5.1 boards and 1.1 blocks per game, numbers that have risen to 10.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals over the last two games. Continued performances like what we saw on Wednesday would be a significant aid to Iowa State in their quest to win the Big 12 tournament for the second-consecutive season.
