Not playing Saturday Lykes (ankle) will not play Saturday against Florida Gulf Coast, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact Lykes suffered an ankle injury last Friday and, while he remains listed as day-to-day, the game against Florida Gulf Coast will be the second straight contest he'll miss due to the injury. His next chance to play will come next Wednesday against Pittsburgh.

Waiting to hear from doctors Coach Jim Larranaga said Lykes' (ankle) status for Tuesday's game against Purdue is unkonwn, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Impact Lykes met with doctors on Monday, but reports on the extent of his injured ankle is unclear at this point. At this point it seems unlikely he would be ready to suit up against Purdue, but we'll have to wait and see once more information comes out as to the extent of Lykes' injury.

Impact Lykes was quite effective to begin Friday's contest, totaling 20 points, five assists and four rebounds. However, he landed awkwardly after going up for a three-pointer with 11:50 remaining in the second half. He went to the locker room with trainers and didn't return. The nature and severity of the injury aren't yet known, and it's unclear whether he'll be ready for Tuesday's matchup against Purdue.
