Impact Head coach Jim Larranaga mentioned Friday that Lykes had a chance to return for Sunday's game, but he'll continue to be sidelined after he reportedly tweaked his ankle injury in practice. The 5-7 senior hasn't played since Dec. 4 as he'll look to have a better week of practice with the hopes of finally returning for a meeting with Georgia Tech on Jan. 20.

The sooner he's cleared to retake the floor, the better off the senior will be in terms of getting in game shape ahead of the conference tournament. Lykes was a key piece in the first two games of the season, posting 15.5 points, 5.5 assists and 4.0 boards per game, and he should resume starting point guard duties when he's back to 100 percent.
