Last Night in College Basketball: UCLA Upsets No. 4 Purdue in Big Ten Shocker

Karter Knox - Returns to starting five Knox had 16 points (6-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 30 minutes during Tuesday's 93-68 victory over Vanderbilt.

Impact Knox popped up on the injury report last week with a hip issue that stemmed from a Jan. 10 contest against Auburn in which he was held scoreless in seven minutes. While the injury didn't force Knox to miss any time, the sophomore did come off the bench in back-to-back games, and he scored exactly eight points in each. Not only did Knox return to the starting five Tuesday, but he put up his highest single-game scoring total since Dec. 13, and his efforts helped the Razorbacks pick up one of their highest-quality wins of the year. It should be enough for Knox to permanently regain his starting spot back from Billy Richmond, though coach John Calipari certainly isn't adverse to the occasional starting lineup shakeup.

D.J. Wagner - Step back in 2025-26 Wagner logged four points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one assist, one block and two steals over 21 minutes during Saturday's 90-76 loss to Georgia.

Impact Wagner has started all 18 games at shooting guard this season, but his minutes and counting stats are all down significantly compared to 2024-25. The main reason has been sixth-man Meleek Thomas, who is averaging 17.7 ppg over his last six games and 15.3 ppg on the whole in his freshman season. Effectively, Wagner's ceiling will continue to be limited as the Razorbacks march towards the NCAA Tournament.

Karter Knox - Suffers hip injury Saturday Knox suffered a hip injury in Arkansas' 95-73 loss to Auburn on Saturday, according to Kyle Sutherland of On3.com.

Impact Knox exited the Razorbacks' 95-73 loss to Auburn with a reported hip injury, leaving the game at the 4:30 mark of the first half and not returning the rest of the way. Knox finished the game with zero points (0-1 FG) and one rebound in seven minutes. Head coach John Calipari said the injury occurred when an opposing player fell on him, and its severity remains to be seen. As things stand now, it's unclear if Knox will be able to play against South Carolina on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
