Stepping away from basketball Johnson has decided to medically retire from basketball, David Jablonski of the Dayton Daily News reports.

Impact Johnson dealt with post-concussion symptoms and lingering effects of mononucleosis last season and decided to medically retire. He was then cleared over the summer, but after consulting with his family and doctors they felt Johnson's best option was to medically retire. His exit leaves a void in the Dayton frontcourt.
