Bryant defeats Central Connecticut 73-59 in NEC tournament

Impact For the second straight game, Pride sizzled in the second half and snapped the Bulldogs out of a brief malaise. Peter Kiss is seen as Bryant's superstar and that's fair -- he is, after all, the leading scorer in the nation -- but Pride is the heartbeat of the Bulldogs, and the team's best clutch player. It was no surprise when Pride joined Kiss on the All-NEC first team roster, which was announced Tuesday.

Impact Pride's stat line was impressive here, but so was his effort of 44 points and 12 rebounds against St. Francis-PA just two days earlier. The third-year guard has now reached double figures in 13 consecutive contests, and is averaging 20.7 points and 8.7 rebounds over that span. Every upset-hopeful team needs a star in March, and Pride certainly fits the bill for a Bryant team that appears tournament bound, provided they take care of business in the Northeast Conference tournament. The Bulldogs have already amassed an 11-1 record in league play.
