Omer Mayer - 14 off the bench Mayer amassed 14 points (5-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two steals across 23 minutes during Sunday's 97-79 victory over Akron.
Impact Mayer's 23 minutes were the most of his young career, and he made the most of them with 14 points on 50 percent shooting from the field. With four boards and six dimes as well, the Israeli-born freshman was all over the court. He appears to be a fixture of the Boilermakers' bench and should have a significant role all season.

Trey Kaufman-Renn - Big double-double in win Kaufman-Renn posted 17 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 FT), 15 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 27 minutes during Sunday's 97-79 win over Akron.
Impact Kaufman-Renn is off to an explosive start to the season. After a 19-point, 15-rebound double-double in a huge win over Alabama, the forward once again pulled down 15 boards in a much easier win over Akron. He averaged 6.5 rebounds last year, but has been significantly more assertive on the glass through two games in 2025-2026. Kaufman-Renn looks like a man possessed for the Boilermakers early on.

Braden Smith - First double-double of '25-26 Smith closed with 16 points (4-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-9 FT), three rebounds, 10 assists and two steals across 27 minutes during Sunday's 97-79 victory over Akron.
Impact Smith has been electric this season, including his 29-point showing in a massive takedown of Alabama. Still, the win over the Zips was the first time the All-American point guard logged a double-double this season. It's his second double-digit assist game this season, and while he was rather cold from the field hitting just 4-of-12 shots, he's still been excellent overall as a scorer and is shooting 40 percent from downtown on 5.0 attempts per game. Smith's exploits have helped pilot the Boilermakers back into the No. 1 spot in the AP Poll.
