Impact Mara logged his fourth double-double of the season as Michigan continued to roll. The massive center also remained extremely efficient in this Wolverines' system, hitting all five of his shots, bumping his field goal percentage to 66.7 percent this season. He has yet to truly stuff the stat sheet, but he's holding down the front court for the Wolverines extremely well.

Impact Mara hasn't been required to dominate this season, as Michigan has rolled over opponent after opponent. That was once again the case against Villanova on Tuesday night, and Mara once again had a very solid outing. He was once again highly active on the glass with eight rebounds, and was very solid on defense as well with two blocks and a steal. He'll continue to be the Wolverines' center of gravity in the paint.

He still appeared in the game, however, notching an efficient double-double in just 21 minutes. He was back in action for Monday's blowout victory but only needed for 24 minutes, and the production followed accordingly. He'll be needed to protect the rim against Auburn's talented wings and forwards on Tuesday in the Players Era Festival.

Impact Even with his frontcourt counterpart Yaxel Lendeborg apparently at full strength and logging 33 minutes in this game, it was Mara who had the far more impactful fantasy performance. He led the Wolverines in both scoring and rebounding, staying out of foul trouble and playing a massive part in the come-from-behind effort. Mara also has 10 total blocks in two games, and Tuesday's effort was against a Wake Forest team with NCAA Tournament hopes, so it's not as if he's taking advantage of softer matchups. If he can keep this up into Big Ten play, Mara is looking like one of the steals of 2025-26 fantasy drafts.

Now, the 7-foot-3 big man is set to be the centerpiece for Michigan's front court, and he's got a double-double in his first game of the year. This should become a familiar refrain in Ann Arbor.
