Impact Dugger will battle it out with incoming transfer Caden Pinnick and returning redshirt freshman Owen Eshelman for the Cougars' starting quarterback role during fall camp. The 6-foot-3 redshirt sophomore, who started his career at Pittsburgh, has completed 2-of-6 passes for 39 yards across one season with Washington State, adding on 47 yards and two scores with his legs. Duggar has the most experience with the Washington State's program heading into this starting battle.

The 6-foot redshirt sophomore transferred into the program after starting with UC Davis last fall; he completed 240-of-345 passes for 3,206 yards, 32 touchdowns and 10 interceptions (12 games). Pinnick is also a threat on the ground, adding on 437 yards and three touchdowns last season with the Aggies. Pinnick has the most in-game experience, but also the least experience within the program among his Cougars' competitors for the starting job.
